Our perspective

godlyPOV exists to connect careful Bible study with a faithful way of seeing and living. We want doctrine to become more than vocabulary: a clearer understanding of God, a humbler view of ourselves, and a deeper love for our neighbors.

Scripture first. Grace at the center.

These lessons approach Scripture from a Christian, Reformed Baptist and seventh-day Sabbath perspective. They draw on Seventh Day Baptist beliefs and use the Second London Baptist Confession of 1677/1689 as a historical comparison, not as an authority equal to the Bible.

The course does not adopt every conclusion of that confession. Its seventh-day Sabbath convictions, openness to the continuing work and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and treatment of clean foods are explained in the relevant lessons. Salvation is presented as God’s gift in Christ, not a reward earned by religious observance.

Conviction with humility

Christians disagree on some of these questions. We aim to describe the position taught here accurately, read texts in context, distinguish central gospel truths from secondary differences, and treat people who disagree with honesty and respect.

From learning to living

Each lesson combines Scripture, explanation, reflection, and practical response. The goal is not simply to win an argument. It is to grow in truthfulness, patience, courage, worship, and useful love.

Sources and independence

Scripture quotations use the public-domain World English Bible (WEB). Each article identifies passages and further reading. godlyPOV is an independent project, not an official publication of any organization.
